If you are interested in helping children who are unable to attend school simply because they cannot afford the required books, supplies, and uniforms, then we eagerly invite you to join us and our other supporters to enable a child half a world away to avoid an unnecessary future of poverty and despair.

All it takes to sponsor a child for an entire school year is $100--that's it! This amount is truly sufficient for providing for the child's school fees, uniforms, books, and school supplies for an entire twelve-month period. As a sponsor, you will be assigned to a specific, individual child and can converse with him or her through our letter-writing program so that you can know firsthand the benefits of your generosity. Sponsors can even continue their support from year to year throughout the child's entire educational development and come away knowing that they have made an invaluable difference in helping one more person to reach his or her dreams.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, we invite you to send us your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address, along with your contribution (check or money order--no cash, please) to the post office address indicated below. If you are interested in making a donation for village development, such as for the construction of a community center, please designate so on your check. IFH respects your privacy and pledges that we will not sell, distribute, or otherwise disclose your contact information.

The IRS recognizes IFH as a 501(c)(3) organization.

Sponsored children write letters to their sponsors throughout the year. Some write from an office of the Sharana Social and Development Organization in Pondicherry, India, where they receive snacks and drinks while they write and color.
